The Weed Warriors have submitted a request to certify Newcastle as a Community Wildlife Habitat. You can Help! The Earth Day event shares how community participation will achieve this.

The event includes mini seminars, kid's activities, electric vehicles, the Pacific Science Center's interactive "Science in the Environment" displays, "FIN" the salmon, Native Wildlife Federation's mascot Ranger Rick, blackberry munching goats, flower and veggie plants for sale by Hazen Booster Club, and musical entertainment by the Boeing Employees’ Concert Band, and the Hazen High School Jazz Band. Eco-friendly businesses showcase green products from organic body care products to solar and wind energy solutions that make a difference for our planet and future generations.

Earth Day in Newcastle inspires all of us to responsibly care for the earth.
