Removal of Invasive Archangel Plant
Yellow Archangel
Lamiastrum galeobdolon (Mint Family)
Yellow archangel, also known as yellow Lamium, is very competitive and fast-growing perennial ground cover that out-competes native understory. It spreads quickly in the forest habitats of western Washington and western British Columbia. It may be either trailing or upright depending on conditions and thrives in both sun and shade. Removal is very labor intensive as all roots must be removed to eliminate this invasive plant.
