April 12th: Wildlife Habitat Meeting with Speaker Grace Stiller - 10:00 am - Noon.
Topic: "Living in Harmony with Nature." Register Your Yard as a Wildlife Habitat. Newcastle King County Library Conference Room.

April 19th:  Newcastle Earth Day 2014 Lake Boren Park - Fact Sheet
Volunteers check in at 8:00 and 9:00 AM Volunteer Form and Opportunities

April 26th: Info Booth at Healthy Kids Day Coal Creek YMCA 9:00 AM - Noon

May 3rd: Weed Warrior Info Booth at Native Plant Society Plant Sale on Mercer Island, Mercerdale Park, 77th Ave and 32nd St., 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
Volunteers needed to host Weed Warrior booth and kid's activity.

May 10th: King County Library presents the 'Volunteer Fair for Teens' at the Newcastle Library. 2:00 - 4:00 PM Volunteers needed to help host Weed Warrior table. Info Flier

May 10th: Safeco Field 6:00 PM Game. Volunteers arrive at 5:30 PM to help with PSSH table. Volunteers receive a free t-shirt, but do have to purchase your own entrance ticket. Use promo code Salmon when purchasing your ticket. Poster

May 17th: Wildlife Habitat Meeting - Edible Native Plants with Reed Ingalls - 10:00 AM - Noon Newcastle King County Library, 12901 Newcastle Way - Register Your Yard as a Wildlife Habitat. Door Prizes!

June 7th:  National Trails Day Walk - Meet at Lake Boren Park - Flier
Walks scheduled at 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM

June TBA: Community Wellness Day - Lake Boren Park - Flier - Noon - 3:00 PM
Offering activities & Info - Healthy Living, Wellness, Fitness, & Safety. Sponsoring health related business or non-profit needed to coordinate event. Weed Warrior volunteers needed to host booth and promote the Community Wildlife Habitat Program. Volunteers check in at 11:30 AM.

July 26th: Caterpillar Collection & Tansy Removal Location TBA- Flier

August 23rd: Community Meeting for Wildlife Habitat Certification -1:00-3:00 PM.

September 7th: Sunday Newcastle 5K in Lake Boren Park- Volunteers host booth. Volunteers Sign in at 7:30 AM
September 13th: Knotweed Workshop -10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Location: Fire station #9, 12412 Newcastle Way, Newcastle Map
Class & project qualifies individuals to borrow herbicide injectors from King County.
September 23rd - 26th: Bellevue's Natural Resource Week. Tme and date TBD

October 11th: Salmon Habitat Activity, May Creek Trail, Flier 10:00 AM Details
October 13th, Monday, 6:00 - 7:00 PM. Annual Planning Meeting for 2015.
Meeting is Open to All Volunteers. Location: Fire Station #9 Meeting Room
October: Day and Time TBA, 6:00 - 9:00 PM. Newcastle Town Hall Meeting at the Newcastle Golf Club, Ballroom. We'll promote the National Wildlife Habitat Program to certify Newcastle as a Wildlife Habitat Community with the City of Newcastle residents.
October: TBA 2014 Arbor Day Tree Planting with the City of Newcastle.

Mar 1st: Blackberry & Restoration Project in Lake Boren Park - Project Flier - 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Wear sturdy shoes. Tools and gloves provided. Project Partner YESC.

Mar 1st: Weed Warriors information host booth with kid's activity at King Conservation District Community Plant Fair, 1107 SW Grady Way Renton, WA .
All Day, 9:00 am to 4:00
pm. Volunteers needed to help set up and host booth! Event begins at 10:00 am. Call Grace at 206.795.5783 to volunteer as space is limited.
