September 13th: Knotweed Workshop -10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
Location: SE May Creek Park Drive and 124th Ave SE. Newcastle, WA. Parking is available at the end of 124th Ave. near the large stand of knotweed. Workshop takes place on loaction. Attendees will receive instruction and have hands on practice with injectors. Class & project qualifies individuals to borrow herbicide injectors from King County. Map

October 13th, Monday, 6:00 - 7:00 PM. Annual Planning Meeting for 2015.
Meeting is Open to All Volunteers. Location: Fire Station #9 Meeting Room
October: Day and Time TBA, 6:00 - 9:00 PM. Newcastle Town Hall Meeting at the Newcastle Golf Club, Ballroom. We'll promote the National Wildlife Habitat Program to certify Newcastle as a Wildlife Habitat Community with the City of Newcastle residents.
October: TBA 2014 Arbor Day Tree Planting with the City of Newcastle.

Mar 1st: Weed Warriors information host booth with kid's activity at King Conservation District Community Plant Fair, 1107 SW Grady Way Renton, WA .
All Day, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. Volunteers needed to help set up and host booth! Event begins at 10:00 am. Call Grace at 206.795.5783 to volunteer as space is limited.

Volunteers needed to host Weed Warrior booth and kid's activity.
May 10th: King County Library presents the 'Volunteer Fair for Teens' at the Newcastle Library. 2:00 - 4:00 PM Volunteers needed to help host Weed Warrior table. Info Flier
May 10th: Safeco Field 6:00 PM Game. Volunteers arrive at 5:30 PM to help with PSSH table. Volunteers receive a free t-shirt, but do have to purchase your own entrance ticket. Use promo code Salmon when purchasing your ticket. Poster

June 7th: Celebrate Trails with a Walk 'n Talk for National Trails Day on the May Creek Trail - 10:00 AM to Noon - Meet at Lake Boren Park near the Trails Map kiosk. The Talk is on Native Edible Plants which attendees will discover along the way. Wear sturdy shoes and dress for the weather.
